Oh please.
The Cardinals are going to be 13-5 after 18 games. They were 12-6 last season.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals took the division, they have a solid team. Their team is killing the ball right now. Their poor bullpen and defense are gonna catch up to them at points though they will have some rough patches and I wouldn't be surprised if they had another late season dive.
I still think we are fine long term, but we may have a rough April until we make some moves and get some guys healthy.
and btw.... if we finish behind the Pirates I'll grill up some hats and devour them.

I don't know if he was joking but Wittenmyer said *Zambrano* and Hill were taking grounders at 3B before the game? Lou can't be liking that, having so little flexibility, having to stick with guys like Patton etc. I bet he has a bit to say about it to Hendry...

I'm ready for the firesale.
Zambrano, Alf, Ramirez, Soto, Dempster, Lilly, Harden, Johnson, Fukudome, Marmol, Marshall, Bradley (to an AL team) -- all gone. Lee is going to fetch us dogshit, so we might as well keep him.
We could get an amazing group of youngsters for the guys listed above, assuming we're willing to eat some salary.

You know how much salary we would have to eat to deal all those guys in this economy?

That's insane. This team is playing like absolutely shit and they're going to be 8-8. I expected them to have this record at this point anyway. These guys are going to hit, they always have.

That's fine. Let's eat the salary. I'd rather build up a depleted minor league system and eat some salary than finish a meaningless season and hang on to all of these guys.

Seriously though, gotta get rid of the Abysmal Snowman. I'm going to be really pissed when Gaudin and his sub 4.50 ERA are helping the Pads.

Another free run, see the Cardinals can't play defense like this all year, its gonna hurt them.
They have given us 4 free runs the past 2 games, if we were scoring any ourselves, and didn't use Patton, we could win these games.
