I'd never heard of these guys but I saw an article where Henry Rollins was talking up their new album and since I do whatever Henry Rollins tells me to do I gave it a listen and it's badass. Sounds like My Bloody Valentine started a band with the guy from the National as their lead singer. You can listen to the whole thing here:

It actually is very good and sounds very little like their earlier EPs. I remember downloading them after they were featured one of those MTV2 alt-rock shows, thinking that they were over-hyped. They sounded like a Misfits/Sex Pistols hybrid at the time, but not in a good way.

This is a huge evolution, and the My Bloody Valentine comparison is spot on.
