Theriot has been fine at the plate, but he is a total dumbass the rest of the time.
I hate Bradley already. I can't say I hate Soto yet, but his shit is getting old.

Lee this month:
5 for 17, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 1.106 OPS. He also doubled off the wall against Lincecum with the wind blowing in. He's been hitting the ball with authority, in the air, and has yet to hit into a double play. You know he's going to hit for average, that's not a concern. The only worry was if he could still drive the ball, and this last week he showed he could with the longest homer at Wrigley this year, and another bomb to dead center on his grand slam. Theriot this month coming into tonight: 6 for 23, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 1.031 OPS Then in tonight's game he went 2 for 4 with a double and walk. He made a stupid baserunning decision, but you have to get on base to make that happen. His offensive production far outweighs the 2-3 idiotic baserunning moves he makes each month. He's been playing much better defense the last few weeks as well. With Milton, this sure as hell won't continue. He's clearly pressing at the plate right now, getting away from the approach which made him such a special hitter. Once he can get over the mendoza line, I think we'll start to see him being more like himself. He's chasing pitches in the dirt and rarely working the count in his favor. That's not Milton Bradley. Soto needs to stop pulling off everything, just stay on the ball and take it to right field. If you try to pull outside pitches, you're only going to whiff or weakly ground out to the left side. That's why he has a league-leading 8 double plays. He also needs to stop thinking and just hit. Pick one stance and go with it. The stance isn't causing any problems, it's staying on the ball.

Fox is about the only guy I dislike right now. Everyone else who's struggling should (hopefully) improve as the season goes on, and I can live with Theriot's bonehead plays/baserunning as long as he keeps hitting.

What the fuck is this thread about. I just get on the computer, click here, and assume the Cubs lost the game. What's with all the hate.
I like you guys a lot.

Bradley, Bradley, Bradley, Bradley, and Cotts. Oh wait, I forgot Milton.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Because Jim Hendry called him every day to ask how he was doing.

Well...he might be the dumbest baserunner in baseball. I don't hate him, though. I reserve pretty much all of my hatred for Cotts. The guy is completely useless. I don't like Miles all that much and Bradley is really starting to frustrate me. But I don't hate Bradley...yet. |
