Star Trek
#1
Ok, I am not a Trekkie. I have always thought it was gay. A very gay outlook of the future and that doesn't include the uniforms.

But JJ Abrams has made a Star Trek movie in which everyone will enjoy. Fucking great flick, probably one of the best so far this year. Chris Pine and Zach Quinto deliver stand out performances. Zoe Saldana is a smoking hottie in it.

4 out of 5 stars.

"gay outlook on the future"? Rodenberry basically invented most shit we use today. As for the movie you are right. It was sick. I cannot wait for more to come, which more than likely will happen.

Yeah, Roddenberry and P.K. Dick were like 50-60 years ahead of their time. It's insane.

I've never watched Star Trek. I'm curious, what are examples of this?

The History channel had a special about Star Trek a few years back about it. Here is a link that has a few.

Yeah...quite a few of those examples were more than a bit of a stretch.

I'd agree, it's just life imitating art. I wouldn't go as far as saying he invented this stuff.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

I'd go as far as saying that big TVs would've been invented even if Star Trek never existed. Call it a wild hunch, but I feel that I'm right.
