I saw it tonight and thought it was fantastic. I usually have trouble getting over some of the sillier things in movies like a heart transplant in a desolate post-apocalyptic setting, but I really liked this one. My expectations were really low after the third movie, this one kicked the series back into excellence.

You're the first person I've heard who has liked it. Has anyone else here seen it? I'm not going to see it in the theater, but I might throw it in my Netflix queue...

He said it was well made, but pretty thin on story. I guess he enjoyed it for the FX and Bale, but didn't think it was even close to being up to par with the first 2 movies. I guess it wasn't as bad as the 3rd though. I'm waiting for Netflix as well.

I saw it. Non stop action, Bale is good as is Sam Worthington. However, the movie doesn't make too much sense. To make matters worse, Bale's John Conner is in a lot of the movie, but you could pretty much cut out his entire character, and it wouldn't really make any difference to the story.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

It's a very simple plot with a lot of action. If you liked the glimps into the future in the first Terminator movie, you'll enjoy this movie.

I didn't like it. Besides the explosions and everything it seemed like a regular action movie. Nothing special, IMO

Haven't seen it, but it sounds like Iron Man to me, given what all of you have said. Lots of FX and a sucky movie.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

I thought Iron Man was pretty good. The first half was excellent, but the second helf was just average comic book fare.

Honestly though, couldn't you say the same thing about the first movie? I think it brought a new aspect of unknown to horror/action films especially because of the emotionless terminator, but when all is said and done, Terminator was just another action movie.

And those one-liners became instant classics.

i was hoping this one would be good. they had so much to work with to make this so much bigger than just an average action movie
Life is a bitch, but she's totally doable.
