I'm not sure if anyone has been paying attention lately, but Gaudin has really turned it on the last 3 starts for San Diego:
7 IP/Start
2.14 ERA
28K/5 BB in 21 innings

Didn't see that one coming.
Actually, to be fair, I didn't think he'd be a successful starter. But I was pretty sure he'd be a very successful bullpen guy. Good thing we don't need someone like that...

He played Seattle twice. Seattle has scored less runs than any team in the major leagues, with the exception of the Mariners. They've even scored fewer runs than the Cubs, if you can believe that.

Is it me or is everything that went well in 2008 completely reversing itself in 2009? Hendry could do no wrong last season and now he can do no right. Reversion to the mean is awesome.

And that is impressive, but it's only one game. The good three starts sort of pales when you see who he beat. And if you go back 4 starts, he's been terrible.
It's sort of like when my sox fan buddy tells me how great Danks has looked, and I have to explain to him that beating the Cubs isn't all that hard to do right now.
