Bench Soriano

Enough is enough.

Sit him until the AS Break. He's obviously not right and isn't helping the team.

At the very least, he needs to be near the bottom of the order. He's killing us hitting 1st.
I got nothin'.

I'd even go so far as to say he should get some rest and then be sent to the minors until he gets hot again, but I know that won't happen.

The easy way to do that is to DL him and send him on a rehab stint. He looks to be injured anyway.

The problem is that you can't send him to the minors. It just doesn't work that way. You could DL him and give him a rehab stint, but even that has limits.

Len and Bob just mentioned that during the game yesterday. When the two guys at the top of the order yestered reached base 9 times... and we killed... today..Theriot (number 2 in the order) has reached only once..and we've scored once

I can see his point though. Usually, every day starters are told a little ahead of time they're not starting. It's a little different for a utility guy.

Granted, I'm sure this isn't nearly as big of a story as it's being made out to be. Just one of those things that becomes a story when the team is underachieving.

Now he'll never get that twenty minutes back that it took to put his game face on.

Now, according to ESPN Chicago Lou is going to be hitting Sori 5th. Maybe he's moving him up a little bit to placate him?

So now the lineup is:

Kosk/Johnson
Riot
DLee
Aram
Sori
Bradley
Hill/Soto/Fox
Font/Blanco

Soriano can eat a dick. He's one of my least favorite Cubs ever.
