The 7th inning stretch last night
#1
Estrada was hammered and said "It would be a shame if they lose" during the song then gave us some of these very special one liners:

"I've seen my share of child pornography ..."

"Ron Jeremy ... what a blessed guy."

He's just fucking rambling now. This is special.
"I'm not sure I know what ball cheese or crotch rot is, exactly -- or if there is a difference between the two. Don't post photos, please..."

It looks like Ponch is resting his head on Z's shoulder.
I picture a pissed-off Amazon bitch; uncontrollable, disobedient, boldly resisting any kind of emotional shackles...angrily begging for more ejaculate. -KB

When are they going to end the fucking abomination of having some D-lister with no real ties to the Cubs staggering in off the street, butchering take me out to the ballgame and rambling out of their stupid asses? Does anyone actually like this crap? If I was owner of the Cubs my first order of business would be to strike the words 'celebrity guest conductor' from the lexicon forever.

So what's the best way to do this? Have Len or Bob do it every day a la Harry? Have only celebs from Chicago with Cubs cred like Joey Montegna or John Cusack do it and Len or Bob the rest of the time? Have a contest or fan auditions and pick people that aren't famous but don't suck to do it? And naturally...in any case...shitcan the bottom of the seventh interview inning.

Clearly this is just another talk show appearance for these hacks' publicists to get them booked on. I mean some fucking 20 year-old country and western bimbo no one north of Peoria has ever heard of...and doesn't know the Cubs from a Big Mac...spare me.

I don't mind guest conductors, as long as they have some tie to the team . . . like Banks or Jody Davis or something like that. Other than those type or people, I don't want to see guests up there. I think they should go with Santo, Brenly, etc. for all the weekday games and bring in actual guests with actual ties to the team to do weekend games.

That's pretty much how I feel. It's the people with no ties to the team and this feeling that it has to be every game that irritates me.

I think they should just play a recording of Harry.

they don't even have to necessarily be tied to the team. bears and bulls and hawks players, local college players, actors and actresses tied to chicago, musicians, and people like that are cool too.

eddie vedder and billy corgan and vince vaughn and bill murray would be fine. greg oleson sang it the other day and i had no problem with that. bill kurtis actually did a real nice job.

eric estrada, bruce jenner, ozzy osbourne, bob uecker, denise richards, jeff gordon.....they have no reason to be doing it.

i've been saying this for about 4 years. then, either on weekends or just when the chance presents itself, let someone w/ ties to the cubs do it. celebrity fans or formers players. if the hawks/bulls/bears do something good or are about to start up, let those guys do it
Life is a bitch, but she's totally doable.
