Dodgers can't do anything. Back to 2nd place. If Kershaw sucks tomorrow after being dominant lately and Pineiro continues to kick ass, I'm going to be furious.

And these upcoming schedules really scare the shit out of me...

Cubs through August:
2 vs. Astros
3 @ Marlins
3 @ Reds
4 @ Rockies
3 vs. Phillies
3 vs. Pirates
3 @ Padres
4 @ Dodgers
3 vs. Nationals
3 vs. Mets
1 vs. Astros(2 more carry into September)

Cards through August:
2 vs. Dodgers

Aside from the fact that the cards have a few more home games, and we play more games total, those schedules are very very similar. I don't see the great fear.

The main difference is that we have a few games left against the Phillies and they don't, but yeah, those two schedules are fairly similar, aside from the fact that we'll be on the road more for the month. That said, what worries me the most is that the Cards are starting to play better now with Holliday and DeRosa in the lineup on a consistent basis. Their pitching is holding up pretty well too.

We need to win the final 2 games of this series.

DeRosa seems to hit a HR every game for them.

So much for him "aging" and being ready to fall off a cliff after 3 consecutive career years.

I just checked. He has 6 HR and 10 RBI in 12 games with StL.

Just saw this, including tonight so far:
<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->stat of the day: Dodgers have had at least 1 baserunner in 19 of 20 innings played vs. Cards...and have 1 total run.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

MANNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just made an awesome jumping catch at the wall, didn't think he'd have a chance. Looked like it was gonna leave the yard off Ryan's bat. Best play I've seen him make in a long time. Game would've been tied with Ryan at least on 2nd base.

Clayton Kershaw really is damn good. 3 runs in 38 innings in July for a 0.71 ERA. Scary to think he's only 21.

Fucking Broxton trying to blow it in the 9th. Ludwick on 2nd after a 2-out single and wild pitch, 3-0 on Rasmus.

Unreal. The Dodgers could have decided to show up for this series.
