I just wanted to say that I'm very pleased with how quickly Ramirez has returned to form since coming off the DL. He's hitting out of his mind.

He might be having the career year he's never had.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

I'm so glad that he's back.

What I love about Aramis, is that unlike a loooot of power hitters, he's perfectly content with driving a run in with a single. Sometimes that's all you need. He does it well. The homers help too, of course

I've gotta say, I didn't think he'd hit quite like this the rest of the year, at least with the power he's hitting for. He's hitting everything with authority. I think he didn't expect to either, as he keeps saying he's like 85% and won't be 100% all year. I think we're seeing Aramis Ramirez at 50% even would still be pretty darn useful. Dude's a fuckin hitter. Born to drive in runs and get the ladies wet.

That literally made me laugh out loud. I had to tell one of my co-workers what was so funny.

when it's all said and done, ramirez will be considered the cubs greatest thirdbaseman.

I wonder if Steve Phillips will still claim that A-Ram is favoring his shoulder?
07-29-2009, 05:30 PM
I think the rest of the team is much more relaxed with him back too. Look at Bradley and Soriano since his return. Even though on paper they still had a good lineup without him I think guys were probably pressing.

Ugh, we got an ESPN game coming up? Shit.

Him being out might actually be a blessing as he'll be rested for stretch run and the post-season.
I expect the Cubs to play .700 ball the rest of the way.
Fat Bastard is an immensely obese, hardly able to walk (weighing a metric ton) gardener and henchman hailing from Scotland. His extreme size endows Fat Bastard with super-human strength as exhibited by his prowess in the Sumo ring from Goldmember. This makes him a formidable enemy for Austin Powers. Fat Bastard is noted for his foul temper, his frequent flatulence, his vulgar and revolting bad manners and his unusual eating habits, which include taste for Human infants (which he calls "the other other white meat") or anything that looks like a baby, e.g. small people. Fat Bastard has been a regular at Cub games since the early 80's when he tried several times (unsuccessfully) to eat the visiting San Diego Chicken.
