Does anybody else expect Aramis's injury to become more of a problem the more he tries to play? Or am I the only one freaking out? Should they DL him and try to give the shoulder more rest, and then hope for a miracle chance to make the playoffs next month? It's bad enough to have two starting pitchers on the DL right now. But if we lose Aramis, this team can't possibly win the Central or even the Wild Card.

Oh, I'm quite worried, but then again my expectations for this team with/without Aramis are getting lower by the day. Until we prove that we can beat some decent teams, I don't think this team will go very far. I just hope Aramis has the operation in the offseason and is unaffected next year.

I didn't like that he injured it stretching up for a ball over his head. That's not good. But before he'd be DL'd it sounds like they'd try a cortisone shot. Maybe that would do the trick, help him play safely through the pain the rest of the way.

How could we ever know without Twitter?
But seriously...do these shots really help? Players get them all the time it seems.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

They reduce the inflammation temporarily. Jeff Bagwell was getting them all the time by the end of his career.
