It didn't load the bases. Before the walk, the only runner was Headly at 2nd, so first and third were both open.
If he was walking him to load the bases, then yes I would say it was dumb, but with first open and a runner at second, it really wasn't that bad of a decision to set up the force plays.

I knew the game was over after the RBI double. Whether it took a bunch of painful extra innings, or a swift blow to the skull, it was over. It was inevitable. I'm glad it happened in the 9th. It saved me from staying up an extra hour to watch this hapless team flail around on the field.

He has been pretty awful and yet Fontenot has .200 points of OPS on Miles. I can't think of a word that quite describes that level of awful.

By the time Blanks's homer went ailing over the fence, I was resolved that I--alone in my dark, dog-smelling basement with bags under my eyes--was getting my just desserts.

I was wrong. I thought Gregg loaded the bases with the Kouz walk. You are correct BT, this wasn't a terrible call by Lou. However, I would still rather face Kouz than Blanks. But the bases not being loaded completely blows my argument. sigh.
