I wonder if the Cubs would be interested in him? The Braves don't want him, but he accepted arbitration. They are blatantly saying they are going to deal him before spring training. If the Cubs are looking for a veteran arm, they could do worse. They shouldn't have to give up much of anything since the Braves don't want him at all.
The downside is his 8 million dollar contract. It would only be for one year though.

For 8 mil, we could have offered Harden arbitration. I don't think it makes economic sense unless the Braves kick in some cash.

I think the problem with that was the Cubs didn't think he would last the year, not that he was too expensive. Could be wrong though.
