Rafael Soriano?
#1
I wonder if the Cubs would be interested in him? The Braves don't want him, but he accepted arbitration. They are blatantly saying they are going to deal him before spring training. If the Cubs are looking for a veteran arm, they could do worse. They shouldn't have to give up much of anything since the Braves don't want him at all.

The downside is his 8 million dollar contract. It would only be for one year though.

For 8 mil, we could have offered Harden arbitration. I don't think it makes economic sense unless the Braves kick in some cash.

I think the problem with that was the Cubs didn't think he would last the year, not that he was too expensive. Could be wrong though.

If the Cubs were going to deal Bradley to the Braves, it would be for Derek Lowe, I would think. That said, any time I mention the possibility of Bradley to the Braves, folks say it's crazy to believe the Braves would have any interest. Shrug.

I think they might have some interest, but up to now it seems as though most of the focus has been on AL teams. I wouldn't mind Lowe pitching at Wrigley, even if he's insanely overpaid.
