Did we miss this? Stoney says Jermaine Dye turned down essentially the same contract Nady took.

Nope, it was reported shortly after Nady signed. Big surprise that he's still out of work.

Stone suggests that Dye's had a couple of big paydays and no one was making playing this year worth his while.

Today was definitely an encouraging day for the offense. Lee, Soriano, Byrd, and Nady all with homers. Weren't cheapies either.

Nady is going to be perfect to slot 5th in the lineup as DH in AL parks.

If Nady can get his arm to 100% I think he could end up being the biggest signing of the offseason....especially is Soriano or Fuk are really struggling.

No matter how much Soriano struggles, no way he starts fewer than 5 times a week.

Theriot's spring line so far:

AVG OBP SLG OPS
.533 .600 .633 1.233

Is this for real?

Well the last thing he needs to think is that he's a power hitter, but he's looked more like his 08 self with his approach in the games I've watched so far.

That would make sense, because with an average that high, the slugging pct is bolstered with singles.
