Cubs better score lots of runs this year even after Bull Dog returns.

I haven't watched much ST ball this year, but who the fuck is Russell?
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

I like the rotation a whole lot better when Lilly comes back and Marshall replaces whoever Lilly doesn't replace between Gorz and Silva.

I'm fine with Marshall in the pen actually. The rest of the pen makes me shiver though.

If every pitcher on the staff has thier best year, I think the Cubs go 104 - 58.
I like you guys a lot.

I think Caridad will be really good and Grabow is solid -- we just overpaid for him. Honestly, I think our pen is just fine if Marmol doesn't implode. If our starters can go 6 or 7 innings consistently, then I'm not worried about the pen.

I think Z and Dempster will be fine. Even Wells seems to be able to consistently go 6, though we'll see how adjusts in his 2nd year. After that though, I have no idea what we are going to get. Even had Marshall been given a rotation spot, being essentially a 5 inning guy, wouldn't have helped much. We could strike gold with a young reliever or 2, but the jury is still out. Having Gray healthy might make a difference too.

Sure, it could blow up in our face, but so can signing veteran relievers like Eyre and Howry.

Dempster Wells Gorz Silva Marshall Samardzija Russell Berg Caridad Grabow Marmol<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> I'm pretty pessimistic about this team . . . but, they did lead the league in quality starts last year. The only guy who really didn't do shit in that category (Harden) is gone. Every suckwad from the bullpen is gone too (unfortunately Guzman is out also). I really think this teams success has a whole lot more to do with how the offense and defense perform, rather than the pitching staff.
