Pretty decent, even-keeled article about Cub's chances

I think that's accurate. Slow start equals problems.
OTOH, Bradley's 2nd half numbers compare favorably to Byrd's season, last year:

Bradley.273/.377/.415
Byrd .283/.329/.479

Considering one guy is cool, and the other guy is a prick, I suppose the Cubs are better off, although that is a vast difference in OPB. (nearly 50 points). At least Byrd showed more power.

Interesting stat that I did not know: last year, Bradley hit MUCH better at Wrigley than he did on the road. How does that make sense?

Home .296 /.407 /.485 (OPS.892) those are all-star numbers
Road .214/.347/.299 (OPS.646) those numbers suck dick
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

If Bradley hits, we don't care about his problems.

Anyone remember when Lee first came to Chicago and warned the fans to be patient with him because he believed that he was a slow starter and would need time adjusting to the Chicago weather? He did that because he gave a shit and knew that half of the fan base was not keen on us trading our highly touted prospect for him. He knew that it would be curtains if he started off poorly here so he gave everyone a heads up and promised to try and prevent starting poorly. Guess what happened. He got off to a shitty start. He warned us though. And he wasn't a huge douche prior. So I'm guessing that if Bradley had started well, the team started well and Ramirez wasn't out, Bradley's shit would have been overlooked more. But because those things didn't happen Bradley's shenanigans were excusable.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy
