Sometimes, yeah. But when you've got an infield that has two guys that put half their throws in the dirt or off the bag, it's going to make a terrible defense even worse. Soriano back to the infield is an awful, awful idea.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah, but I think they do that because they know they have Lee as a safety net. So, they will give up more base hits, but I don't think hitters would be reaching second as a result of an error.

I see a future in Mr. Daniel "Dirty" Sanchez. And 6'2" is tall as hell for a 16 year old SS. He's probably still growing.

Its much more difficult to fake ages these days.

I like Soriano in LF, he's made huges strides out there this year. 1B sounds like a terrible idea to me.
Reply
Ruby you're wrong. Soriano is a terrible OFer. He's not even adequate. That said, 1B isn't that easy to play if you've never done it before. Maybe they get him some work in pregame there later this try it in spring training games next season. If he looks like the can do it then fine, but we'd definitely need a plan B.
Reply
My thinking is this: Soriano would probably be terrible at 1st; he's been terrible at every position he's played. But it's not like we're not going to suck next year. We might as well suck while letting Colvin and/or Jackson develop.

We've said it before, but Chris Archer is really having an impressive year. I bet he's considered one of the Cubs' top 5 pitching prospects by next year.

Hey Kid, has Jackson been showing signs of developing any power? I haven't been following the youngsters as closely as I would like.
