Watched this one on Instant Netflix the other day.
It felt more like a play than a movie. Most of the action takes place in one or two rooms of a house -- and the dialogue and pacing felt very play-like, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't adapted from a play.
The story is about L.A. getting hit by a series of "dirty bombs" and a series of difficult moral choices a guy has to make as a result. The first 15 or 20 minutes after the explosions were very tense and felt very real. Pretty scary.
The leads are both pretty good, but I had a hard time trying to figure out how this couple ever got together (they seem like very different individuals). Nothing that kills the movie, but I think it would have helped the story if there was better chemistry between the two of them.
3.5/5 stars
