I had to register.... I cant take this awful batting whenever someone is in position to score.. is there a middle of the lineup that scares anyone less than the cubs right now? I dont think so...

One fucking run off of Hernandez is terrible! We don't deserve to win when we only score one run.

Calm down. The team is hitting better now than they have all year so far, and Jaramillo's impact is starting to show. Theriot and Soto are huge examples of how they're recognizing their pitches and taking what they're given. Both those two and Byrd are driving the ball to the opposite field and pulling pitches on the inner half, and they're all really hot right now. Colvin just had an awesome at bat in the 9th, even though he struck out. I'll take that AB from a rookie in the 9th against a veteran reliever. As for the middle of the order... Lee? He hit a couple rockets tonight that were robbed by great plays. Ramirez? He's struggled, but he's been hitting balls really hard that are getting knocked down by the wind. If this were the summertime, you could add about 3 homers to his total. He also is one of the leaders in RBI on the team despite his struggles, go figure. Byrd? He's red hot. Soriano? He's taking pitches for the first time since the Clinton administration, and it's paying off and allowing him to pick his spots more efficiently and get more fastballs to hit. Tonight just wasn't the night for the offense, but there were plenty of positive signs and bad breaks. We'll get 'em tomorrow with Dempster on the mound.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Good points. It was still lame though.
