This was the part that really pissed me off. Soto was available, who has been arguable our best hitter, Soriano was available who has been swinging the bat well, both are everyday players, and instead Chad Tracy trots up there with a bat? what the FUCK?! I knew right then the inning was over.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Damn. I forgot about Soto, too. So, Lou used Tracy *and* Nady in the game when Soto and Soriano were both available to pinch hit?

Man...today's game sucked in so many ways.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Not to mention that Soto had to come in the game anyway with Hill out. So using Nady in that spot just wasted him. If you use Soto in either spot, you save a guy and have a better hitter up. Made too much sense I guess. With Nady you can't even argue the handedness.

According to TBS on Sunday, he's a genius and the reason we're off to a good start.

While we're bitching about Lou, I also don;t like how a few times he's pulled Soto in the late innings of a close game a couple times. Last Sunday against the Astros was one example where we ended up with Hill batting either in the 8th or ninth because Lou wanted his better dfensive team out there... It wasn't a double switch situation.

They're standards must be incredibly low.

A proven professional hitter I can see being allowed to swing away. Fontenot is none of the above.

I hate it when Hill plays. It's like batting two pitchers instead of one. Soto's a good enough catcher that he shouldn't be benched for defensive purposes.
Wang.
