I like the way the letter was worded. It added pressure to the preservationists by essentially saying "We don't get public support, the other team does. We need to put up signage to raise revenues. If not, we want some public support." I bet the signage is approved.

The Landmarks Commission finally approved the sign (8-1 with the one absention coming from a member who has some connection to Toyota). It is clear that this douche alderman was only protecting Gramatis and his mini empire, and probably received a ton of campaign contributions and other promises along the way. Fuck them both all the way to the poorhouse.
