Man, that Rizzo AB was nuts. My daughter and I were going crazy at around the 10th pitch and then we had to stand when all of Wrigley stood (looked like more than 50 % were standing several pitches before that). My daughter said that was the best game AB she's ever seen. It's beyond awesome to share this stuff with her now that she's old enough to understand the game, and now that she plays on a softball team.
That must have been a great one to be at.
She hates Sogard because of his anti-vax crap...I don't have the heart to tell her Rizzo is on that boat, she loves him. WTF is wrong w/people? How could anyone think the short term or long term ramifications of getting the vaccine could be anywhere near the potential short term or long term ramifications of getting Covid? Just so dumb.

Been a while since I've been to a game, but that Rizzo at bat made the season for me. Watched the replay on Marquee and it didn't come close to capturing the vibe in the park. Fans were going crazy, it was loud and nuts. Sounded muted on Marquee.
One of the most generally satisfying regular season games I've ever been to.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I just saw that Rizzo publicly said he didn't get the vaccine. I was assuming he didn't because this team was below 85% and he's from Florida and I've always assumed he was a republican and I've assumed he voted for Trump.
A lot of assuming....I know.
