Caridad off the DL
#1
<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->The Chicago Cubs on Saturday will call up rookie relief pitcher Esmailin Caridad, who has been rehabbing a strained right forearm, according to a source close to the situation.

Caridad has been on the disabled list since April 12.

Justin Berg, Jeff Gray or James Russell could be reassigned to make room for Caridad.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

Maybe a vicious beating could earn him a spot on the DL.

Or you could hope that he starts performing up to his career averages and Caridad preforms well, so Zambrano can get moved back to where he belongs.

Or this.

But a beating might speed up the process.

And Berg should have been demoted. His numbers were so deceiving up until he shat all over himself tonight.

Yeah, when a bullpen guy makes you pine for Howry, Alfonseca, and Gregg, you know you're in a world of hurt. If Lou has any sense, he'll make Grabow do mop up work until he proves he can get some hitters out. Not that our offense is really accomplishing much, but Grabow's extra runs make any chance at a comeback a lot less realistic.

He's crap. Never been the least bit impressed with him. He has the least deceiving wind-up ever and blah stuff on top of it. Okay sinker sometimes, but leaves it up in the zone too much to be all that effective. Really his only use is if you're looking for a double play ball, and let's be honest- don't want him in big, late-inning situations.
