Memorial Day: Cubs v. Pirates
#16
I have no doubt - following Ramirez's comments earlier this year about Jaramillo - that there's an ego issue involved with where Ramirez is hitting.

I think Piniella's loved ones need to sit down and have a serious talk about Dad.

No real reason to think ahead with this team but it's better than watching Howry pitch.

Z is probably only going to pitch 70 pitches on Wednesday so Lou is going to need the bullpen relatively fresh for Wednesday so why start Wells on short rest today and pull him at 90 pitches?

Any thoughts?

I think you know the answer to that, and it involves Lou being old/stupid/fat.

This team is unable to beat the Pirates. Just think about that.

The Pirates. The Pirates.

It's time to start seeking out trade partners. That's not an overreaction.

Nope I don't think it is either. I've had it. Time to start new with these young guys. Sad part is that with these contracts we probably won't get shit.

Do you want overpaid guys clogging up your roster or do you want to pay a big chunk of their salaries to be somewhere else, freeing up roster spots? And which of them won't waive their no trade clauses?

Fuck this team. I'm done with them. If you can't put forth enough effort to consistently beat the Pirates, you don't deserve the fans' support. This team is playing up to the level of its competition, and it's so obvious that it's sickening. Something has to change, and I don't care if it is unpopular or not.
