Zambrano
Cash money has been rocked his last two outings for sure. I think that'll happen from time to time, kind of like it did with Wood and Zambrano when he was younger (now it happens every time). I think yes, we all need to see more, but that unless he justr implodes, he'll be in the rotation next year.

Also there is Diamond and Jackson....who are total wild cards. And maybe beginning of next year is too soon for Archer, but possibly along the way?

As far as Lilly, would like to have him back for the right price and years, but at this point I doubt that. Even so, is he a top of the line rotation guy at 35? Maybe a #3. Don't count out Wells either, he has definitely had his lumps, but seems to be getting it all back together in the second half, still, not a front line guy.

So yes, next year top starter will prob be Dempster, God this team will suck.

The worst part is our payroll will be over $120M, and Ryan Dempster will be our Ace.

I didn't feel like sifting through 32 pages of this thread, so if it was talked about I apologize, but I was wondering this...

Would you do Zambrano for Zito—Z for Z—straight up?

Zito has one more year than Zambrano. So no.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

And why would the Giants do this again? Zito has been pretty solid for the past 2 seasons.

Zambrano starts Monday in SF.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I'm so pissed. First I'm getting to SF a day late for Jerry Garcia Appreciation Night and now this. Grrr...

I expect 1.2 innings. 6 ER and a destroyed gatorade cooler.

Haha...hope the bullpen is ready that day, and that are multiple backup gatorade coolers in SF. 2 innings max with multiple implosions and about 6-7 runs given up.

I have no doubt in my mind he'll throw a complete game 2 hitter, right the ship for the rest of the season, come into ST next year predicting a CY Young award and a WS ring, then by mid July will have tried a crane kick on Fuk and get his leg swept.
