Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? Lou isn't a scapegoat. He sucks. Ramirez sucks, Lee sucks, Hendry sucks, the whole team sucks. I'm not making Lou out to be a scapegoat, but he IS a part of the problem. A big big part. A huge part. Enormous.
The funny thing is, since the season started, I've rarely posted anything about the Cubs, positive or negative. To say I jump on anyone is misguided for anything is misguided. I barely ever even talk about the Cubs anymore.
But i do read, and every time i read anyone say anything negative about this team, you inevitably jump in and defend anyone who's getting ripped. It's a constant, like the river flowing to the sea.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'm sorry I called you a grumpy fuck.

OK, first off, calling me a grumpy fuck was the least of my concerns. I've been called a lot worse, often by my own family.
Second, Lou isn't a scapegoat. That would imply that I'm blaming him for everything that's wrong with the team. I'm not doing that. But seeing as this thread is about Lou, I feel compelled to voice my opinion about him. Had the thread been "Trade Ramirez" or "Fire Hendry", I would have done likewise. Lou isn't the sole reason the Cubs suck, but he is a big part of it. His senile old grandpa act has worn thin.
Third, I was all for the Lou hiring when it went down. Since then, I've been disappointed, much the same way I was with Dusty (who I was also glad we signed at the time). Every year since he was brought on, my disappointed has increased. I'm at the point now where I just wanna see him disappear.
Fourth, if you look at my post, quoted in this post, you'll see a sentence where I used the words "is misguided" twice. One of them doesn't make sense. What happened there? Why did I type those words twice? I did that at school, so drugs weren't a factor. What was I thinking?

I don't want to really get into it again today, but I just want to make clear what irks me the most which is this: People are complaining because Lou is old, senile, and can't manage anymore at the age of 66 when we all loved him, thought he was doing well, and he even won the manager of the year award when he was 64. It just seems inconsistent to me. I would say it's maybe even misguided to think that is misguided.
