One thing is for sure. Whomever the next guy the Cubs hire is, he will be a great manager, and I'm certain we will all be happy with his moves, even if the players suck cock and don't perform. It's just GOT to be a coincidence that Pinella, Baker, Baylor, Riggleman, Trebelhorn, and Lefebvre all were complete morons who didn't know half as much as the guys on this board. Or as much as every genius who calls in to the Score every day. The Cubs just haven't hired the right guy yet. Clearly, a good manager would know how to turn the fact that our best hitter is "slugging" .272 into a mere footnote.

No. I think Lou is tired. Funny story, but perhaps a nother non-sequitur. My son's middle school baseball team was probably the worst team I've ever witnessed. They lost every game by at least 20+ runs. We were chatting on our 3.5 hour drive today home from a travel basketball tournament. He was saying that the coaches, well, sucked. I told him that it wouldn't matter if Joe Torre, Lou Pinella, or Connie Mack were managing, they would still lose every game by 20 runs because they couldn't hit, run, pitch or field. He sort of agreed.

If Lee and ARAM were hitting their career averages or higher, we'd be about 5-7 games over .500 (if not better). IF lee and ARAM were hitting and Grabow wasn't on the team, we'd be a couple games better than that. While Lou fills out the line-up cards and Lou is the one who keeps giving Grabow the ball (moron), he's not responsible for $33M+ worth of 3 players not doing their jobs. If these 3 guys were executing, this thread wouldn't exist.

Lou hasn't had a great season managing thus far, but he's not the reason Lee and ARAM leave guys on base like they're getting bonus points for doing so.
