i agree. maybe my favorite tv show of all time.
a recent show that i thought had promise but was canceled was life on mars. i guess they told them ahead of time so they were able to rewrite and shoot the last few episodes and end it in a way that their story got told and i thought their finale was really great as opposed to another canceled show i liked, dirty sexy money, which never got to have a finale so we never got to find out how it was going to be resolved.
