That is odd, because as we all know the market is usually PERFECT at evaluating middle relievers. I think we can all agree that there is no easier job for a GM than assembling a bullpen.

Because everyone knew Grabow's ERA would double this year?

People complained about the amount Grabow was given, NOT that he was given a contract. If you knew Grabow was going to be this bad, seriously, you are a fucking savant.

It's possible Hendry paid more than market price for Grabow, but I don't think its clear. Regardless, people aren't complaining about the amount, they are complaining (rightfully) about the fact he is having his worst season ever.
