How do Archer and Diamond rank in top prospect lists? Are they highly thought of by scouts?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Diamond was once an elite prospect. Pretty sure he was a top 100 prospect at one point. He is past that point though. Archer is not on anyone's top 100 list but I could see him getting that kind of recognition if he reproduces his numbers from last year. Lots of evaluators feel he will be a bullpen arm though so I think that knocks his value way down. He needs to prove to people he is a starter.
For the Cubs, I think Cashner, Jackson, Carpenter, Rhee, McNutt, and Antigua have higher ceilings as starters than either of those two guys. They are extremely capable of proving me wrong though if they both are able to keep their walk rates down.
