Plus, this feud has been going on for years. I don't take anything that they say about each other too seriously. They hate each other but love the Cubs (at least one does IMO), so these antics aren't surprising.

I'm a pretty gigantic PJ fan and wasn't aware of any hatred between the two of them. Some of PJ's earliest shows were opening for the Pumpkins and they have played together. I'm pretty sure this was an off the cuff remark that is being given way too much credence. Plus he's a washed up douche (he is a total nutjob as evidenced by this last Pumpkins tour)
