The only thing about this that concerns me is that it doesn't really allow for either man to get into any rhythm. My understanding is that pitchers like to go on regular rest as opposed to platooning. I remember the Brewers tried to go with a home/away platoon with Dave Bush and someone else a few years ago and it failed miserably.
