If you haven't heard this, you've heard songs from it. You've heard some used in commercials. To me, this is an example of something great from a period in music history, that a century from now, will look brief...the album era. Pop music was once a singles medium almost exclusively. It's headed back there again...rapidly. From about 1967 till some time recently....hard to pin down a moment here...the album was important.
This is a truly great album. Not because I can or care to justify that critically...but just because I love it. maybe you'll like it too...if you're not already familiar with it.
The Wikipedia post about this is pretty informative...and information is something I care more about than judgments.
