If we took Babe Ruth's salary and adjusted it for inflation, he would be considered under paid compared to what other athletes make.

But seriously, we now have people with college degrees with 20+ years in the work force having to settle for part time jobs. We have people who have had their jobs exported to China and we are now importing shit for quality products.
When you have 15% unemployment, and those who still have their jobs were told that they have to take a 15% pay cut, I think that athletes and other entertainers can quit their crying.
