Just looking over Starlin's numbers. I've heard comparisons to Hanley Ramirez before, so I looked into it.
Hanley Ramirez
Age 19 @ Augusta (A) .275, 8 HR, 50 RBI, 36 SB in 111 games
Age 20 @ Sarasota (A+) .310, 1 HR, 24 RBI, 12 SB in 62 games
Age 20 @ Portland (AA) .310, 5 HR, 15 RBI, 12 in 32 games
Starlin Castro
Age 19 @ Daytona (A+) .302, 3 HR, 35 RBI, 22 SB in 96 games
Age 19 @ Tennessee (AA) .288, 0 HR, 14 RBI, 6 SB in 31 games
Age 20 Spring Training .444, 1 HR, 5 RBI, .714 SLG in 16 games
They're really similar, and I can't wait to see what Starlin does this year. Keep in mind, that Castro is a year ahead of Hanley, because he started at 17. Also, Hanley's power came later. His 8 homers as a 19 y/o was the most he had in the minors. Going off of Butchers' report of Castro on B&I, and what Clapp and others have said, I think it's possible that he could be like Hanley.

I hate my pretentious sounding username too.
