He is a pre-arbitration guy, so under-value is to be expected. Still a very smart move by the Jays though. Barring major injury or just completely falling off the table, Lind would have almost certainly made more money going year by year.
Guess he was too tempted by being paid a year early and being set for life.

I would totally do the same thing - the certainty is really valuable. But I'm conservative like that.
