Agree that Lou fucked up but it depends when Lou made his comments.
If it was after Aramis injury, Lou should have had issues regarding where was the 2009 Cubs power supposed to come from? Milton wasn't going to provide it. Aramis was gone. Fukudome doesn't have it. Lee still had questions marks regarding his power at the start of last year. After Aramis' injury, Lou had one "reliable" power source and that was his lead off hitter - Soriano.

Even so, it was a disaster and should have been abandoned. I'm happy that it looks like it now may have been. The better Theriot is, the longer the pressure to bring Castro along is held at bay.
