The 2 "extra" players are Tracy and Millar, who aren't on the 40 man roster because they signed minor league deals. Nady and Gray go to the DL, and Tracy and Millar will get promoted to the 40 man roster and make the team. At least, that's how I think the roster will wind up.

Wow Colorado..so you have Berg as bein optioned then, I am suprised. I didnt think many fans would agree to option him and see how Rule 5, Mike Parisi does...

Lou said Berg and Caridad are his two preferred options to be the right-handed set-up pitcher, so Berg is apparently a heavy favorite to make the bullpen.
