True, but Ruby didn't say that. He flat out said that good teams are good up the middle. I showed that the WS winning 1995 Braves were, in fact, very mediocre up the middle. Maybe he should have qualified his statement by saying good teams need to be good up the middle in the absence of a great pitching staff.
