Yeah, this horse shit kind of voting goes back to the very first vote. And it continued.
For example, <b>neither</b> Yogi Berra, nor Joe DiMaggio got in on the 1st ballot. Think about that. Over a quarter of the electorate did not consider either the greatest catcher of all-time OR The Yankee Clipper to be HOF material.
Did you know that between them, they have 19 rings? Nine-TEEN. (two or three were won when they were on the same team.)
Ted Williams, Ty Cobb, Barry Bonds, Tony Gwynn and Ernie Banks COMBINED have zero rings.

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
