Incidentally, the vision of her performing that tune with the denizens of <i>Sesame Street</i> pretty much explains why I was a ridiculously upbeat child. I kinda always figured that I could get out of any scrape by whipping that tune out, just knowing that Karen Carpenter and Grover would have my back.
Alas, I was ten, heading toward eleven, when she sang her last song. By then the allure of women had won out over the camaraderie of Muppets . . .
