These days, Miller Lite has 96 calories per beer. I have to believe it was more than that in Wade Boggs' playing days.
If Someone were to drink 50 beers at 96 calories per beer, that would add up to 4800 calories. I know a lot of heavy drinkers don't eat anything, so let's just assume Boggs was one of those people and that's all he had for the day was 4800 calories of beer in one day of traveling....
That's almost two and a half more calories than an average person is supposed to consume on a daily basis.
It just doesn't add up.
