Are you anticipating any sort of bounceback next season for Soto, or is the 2009 Soto the "real" Soto? He was hurt and out of shape this year. Don't you think the "real" Soto is somewhere in between 2008 and 2009?

I think the real Soto is what we saw this year.

With the WBC, the out of shape problem, the failed drug test, the injury, the inevitable sophomore slump, and the pressure of being a young catcher for Lou taken into account, I think there might be a significant amount of room for improvement. Everything we heard about Soto was, that when he had his weight down he hit, when he lost control of his weight he sucked. To me catcher is the fourth to last place in the world we need help. At the end of the day both Soto and Hill know how to call a game to an established game plan, and their pitchers like throwing to them.
