That isn't entirely fair. Yes -- part of it was Hendry's fault, but a very large portion of it had to do with the ownership situation not being resolved.

Agreed. And Lou and Hendry, to me anyway, built this team together after they got the blessing of Crane Kenney and Zell to spend like drunken sailors, so the fact that we have such a ridiculous number of bloated long-term, backloaded contracts and no one tried to stop them is a group effort. The uncertain ownership situation was awful timing as well, and was out of our front office's control. And I'm in no way giving anyone a free pass, but there is plenty of blame to go around.
