He got a $4 M signing bonus and makes $5M this year. So I'll agree his federal taxes state that he only made $9 M this year from the Chicago National League Ball Club.

And if he for some reason died tomorrow, I'm sure I wouldn't be concerened with his contract status.

I guess I'm biased since I never liked the signing anyway. Even if he performed exactly as he did last year I wouldn't be impressed. He's just not the guy I wanted.
