I'm pretty confident in that. He's not earning his pay, but he doesn't suck by any means.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
"not earning his pay" is the key phrase there. when did we start letting guys off the hook for "not earning their pay"? bradley has played well lately, after the cubs began their slide. coincidence? maybe, maybe not, but the fact remains that he's underperformed.
i find it funny that in defending bradley, rok and scarey used terms like "middle of the road" and "not earning his pay." i expect more than that from my players. you guys should too.
having said that, i defended bradley through most of his troubles. i really started turning on him when he failed to keep his mouth shut. players have bad years, but that doesn't mean they should be pussies about it.
personally, i'd love to see him traded. i think he's mentally weak. i also doubt that trade is going to happen. if he can put together a full year of playing like he has lately, i'll cut him some slack. alou did it, so i guess this guy can too. i have my doubts though.

Believe me when I say that I don't understand why I've softened on Bradley. Maybe it's because I don't care about the rest of the season and I'm trying to take something, anything good away from this team and from the Bradley signing. It's a little unfair to say that he just now started hitting. The guy has been hitting in the upper .300s since July, even through that ridiculous drama from a few weeks ago. If the guy can rebound next season, and if the rest of the team can pull their weight, Bradley will be a nice piece to have on this team. I'll grant you that he's a nut, but not every player is going to be cute and cuddly. All I care about is performance. Again, I don't think he's earned his salary this season, but neither have Soriano, ARam (only because of injuries), Fuk (even though he's having a decent year), and Z. Even Soto at the league minimum hasn't earned his salary. All I'm saying is that it's hard to single out one guy just because he's a douche, when there are so many other players not cutting it. He at least is showing some life, unlike some people on this team. I don't want to trade him away for nothing, which at this point is what we'd be looking at doing.
