I'd bet my left and right nut that Bradley, Dempster, Soriano, and Zambrano weren't on that list of twelve.

Although, I imagine Zambrano would get claimed.

In this market I don't think any team would risk being on the hook for another 4 years at roughly $18M per year. In fact, if it did occur and Hendry didn't pull the trigger it should be a fireable offense.

I'm really glad you're not a general manager.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
So let me get this straight. If Carlos Zambrano was a free agent, you think someone would sign him today to a 4 yr / $72M deal? Really? That is essentially what you are saying.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Obviously he wouldn't.
But as a Cub fan, can you seriously say that you wouldn't want Zambrano on our staff next year? (Not talking as a budget director...just as a fan.)

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
