<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Jeremy Hermida continues to draw attention at the Winter Meetings.
The Marlins on Wednesday were approached by the Rangers and Mariners about Hermida, MLB.com has learned. Both those teams were offering catchers. At this time, neither proposal seems to be a fit.
Talks with Texas matched Hermida for Jarrod Saltalamacchia, a switch-hitter who appeared in 61 games for Texas in 2008. And from Seattle, Rob Johnson for Hermida was discussed.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Saltalamacchia? I can't imagine we can offer anything close to that. He's struggled but he's still only 23 and was the centerpiece(well you could argue Elvis Andrus too) of the Teixeira trade. If the Rangers are making that offer, they must really want Teagarden being an everyday catcher. They just traded Laird too.
