Just saw it this weekend. I loved the documentary elements to it, which allowed for explication without bogging down the story (in fact, it created quite a bit of tension as we wonder just what Wikus Van De Merwe could have done that was so awful to his work and family, considering that he was a company man through and through.

Watching his evolution (in many forms) was my favorite part of the movie, as I kept wanting him to "get it," understand who the true "good guys" were, and the movie kept frustrating that desire, which made for less of a cheesy turnaround, as many of these movies resort to.

Boy, I'm not sure I want one. The movie sets up for one, but the messages of corporate hostility, racism, and unethical science may get lost. I suspect we'll get a sequel anyway in "three years."
